Diego Lopez 2025 Birdville High School Co-Winnner

DIEGO LOPEZ is a graduate of Birdville High School and plans to attend Texas State University. Diego has been dedicated to soccer for most of his life and played all four years at Birdville, where he developed into both a strong athlete and respected leader. During his senior season, he was selected as one of the team captains, helping lead and encourage his teammates both on and off the field.

Diego is passionate about teamwork, leadership, and supporting those around him. As a captain, he worked hard to keep his team focused and united, especially during difficult moments in close games and challenging stretches of the season. He understood the importance of staying calm under pressure and encouraging others to keep moving forward. One of his favorite memories came during a match against ILT, where he scored two goals to help lead his team to victory—an experience that reflected both his determination and his love for the game.

Through soccer, Diego learned the value of commitment, perseverance, and friendship. While the season may not have ended exactly as hoped, he remains most thankful for the relationships and memories built along the way. Diego’s leadership, positive attitude, and dedication to his teammates reflect the same qualities that defined Kyle. We are confident that Diego will continue to grow as a leader and make a meaningful impact both in college and in the communities around him.
