Samuel’s story is shaped by a steady commitment to growth, service, and the relationships he built along the way. During his time at Calvary Lutheran Church, he was an active member of the high school youth group. He gave his time to younger students through Kids Club and day camp, stepping into roles that required patience, energy, and a willingness to lead by example. These early experiences laid a foundation for how Samuel would continue to engage with others through consistency, humility and a genuine desire to contribute.
One of the most lasting takeaways from his time at Calvary was the impact of peer ministry training. Those lessons stayed with him well beyond high school, shaping how he communicates, supports others, and handles real-life challenges. Whether in friendships, work environments, or difficult situations, Samuel learned the importance of being present and intentional. His participation in Calvary Lutheran mission trips and day camp further reflects that commitment to service.
Samuel’s commitment to service also reflects the qualities of compassion and commitment, traits he developed deeply through his seven years in scouting and Calvary Lutheran Youth. Drawing on what he had learned through peer ministry, Samuel understood that sometimes the most meaningful support is simply showing up. Today, being the kind of friend others rely on, he continues to live out those values. Samuel’s story is a reminder that compassion, even in its simplest form, can leave a lasting impact.
